Below is the A-Z of fitness classes on offer to you at 658 Fitness, here you can see a more detailed description of each class. If you’re attending a studio class, we have everything you will need, however you are welcome to bring your own mat or equipment to use if you feel more comfortable.

Body Sculpt

Body Sculpt is a full body, low impact resistance workout using free weights and your own body weight. Designed to improve muscle strength, tone your upper and lower body and build core stability.

Circuit Training:

Want to improve your strength, stamina and muscular endurance? Circuit Training is the class for you. The full body workout comprising of a variety of high intensity exercises performed for a set time, one after another. Mixing up cardio and strength training, the incorporation of HIIT (see below) and weights sends your fat-burning furnace into high gear and keeps you torching calories even after you’ve finished your workout.


Punch and kick your way to fitness with this high-energy martial-arts inspired workout. A non-contact, equipment free class with no complex moves to master. Your instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

HIIT Cardio (High Intensity Interval Training):

HIIT Cardio is a 30 minute high intensity interval training workout, alternating bursts of intense cardio exercise with short recovery periods. The combination of high intensity exercises and interval training gives your metabolism a boost for upto 48 hours so you’ll still be burning fat even after you’ve left the gym. Improve your existing fitness levels, increase stamina and endurance in this high energy class.

HIIT Strength:

HIIT Strength is a resistance based interval training workout, designed to improve strength, fitness levels and build lean muscle. We use barbell, dumbell and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. The focus is lots of quick, good quality repetitions to set your body on fire and optimise results.

Ketllebells & Core

Feel energised and strong with our Friday morning Kettlebell workout! We have a variety of weights so you can tailor the exercises to suit your own training level and ability. In the second phase of the class we focus on core conditioning, performing exercises that will tone, tighten and strengthen those abs and surrounding muscles. Resistance based with a hint of cardio.


A modern take on the classic Legs, Bums and Tums, Sunday LBT is a conditioning workout using resistance exercises, performed circuit style, to strengthen, tone and shape the lower body and abs. The class is different each week, so will always keep you on your toes and feeling the burn.


Pilates aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Regular pilates practise can help improve posture, muscle tone, balance and joint mobility, as well as relieve stress and tension. Pilates can also complement other training methods by developing whole body strength and flexibility, and help reduce the risk of injury.


A total body, resistance workout using barbells, dumbbells and your own bodyweight to seriously strengthen, tighten and tone your muscles. Set to pumping music, this workout will get your heart rate up and burn around 600 calories per hour. You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.


A low impact aerobic & toning class targeting common problem areas whilst gently taking you into the fat burning zone. Get leaner legs and a toned tum whilst banishing the bingo wings with this body shaping workout. Think classic LBT with a twist.

Spin & SPINtervals:

The calorie torching qualities of indoor cycling are hard to beat! Focusing on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity training and recovery, variation keeps you motivated as you pedal your way to fitness on a stationary bike.


An intense aerobics class using a Step, Step Aerobics burns 30 – 60 % more calories than traditional aerobics with particular emphasis on hips, thighs, abdominals, and buttocks. Suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced steppers, the step has 3 levels – the higher the step the tougher the workout! 


A low impact, all over toning workout. We use bodyweight, light dumbbells and lots of repetitions to tighten and shape all of those common problem areas, finishing our session with a full body stretch to maintain and develop flexibility. Think LBT and more!

Yoga with Jools*


Hatha Yoga class with Yoga with Jools, Thursdays at 10:45am.

Jools has been a yoga student for over 40 years and has been teaching since 2011. She believes that yoga is for EVERY BODY and will encourage you to practice at your own level, offering alternatives to suit you.

Yoga classes are £8 drop in.
